Here is one of the Items being donated to the Egmont Key Alliance for thier annual "Discover The Island"  weekend Silent Auction November 12th and 13th. The Knotted Bottle was used by sailors to protect the bottle from breaking as well as a decorative purpose. The Knotted Bottle is 14 inches long and was made with 215 feet of hemp small line in a period of 16 hours. This is yet another great example of Marlinspike Seamanship.  if you wish to see more awesome nautical knot works or Marlinspike Seamanship, visit the store page of www.marlinspikes.com
